A Guys Night Out

Last night, all the guys from our Bible Study Group went over to Joey’s for none other than a Tea Party. For those of you that don’t know Joey Tipton, his place is also called Shady Acres Retirement Home. This is because all its furnishings have been passed down to him by his grandparents, etc. Its not very modern at all. Ok, so what prompted this whole Tea Party thing? Well, part of the furnishings are a tea set. Jesse has been joking around with Joey to put that tea set to use. Well last night we did just that. We had scones, pirouettes, apple pie, ice cream, and milano cookies. (In addition to the hot tea.)

We pretty much had everybody there from our Bible Study group in addition to another person who lives just down the hall (Bubbles, but not Clayton). We did our high-lows, took prayer requests, and discussed what were gonna be doing this summer.

This post is just additional proof that Joey hosted a tea party. Oh yes, how could I forget… Charlie would like everybody to visit the Best Thing Ever.

A treat for all my loyal readers

Since getting the new webhost for the CSC, I’ve gotten a chance to experiment with a lot of things. One of the things I would like to see up is slideshows that have been put together by myself and others. Of course one big issue is, we use music that we probably haven’t secured the copyright to use. I think it would fall under fair use since its background music and we definitely aren’t making any money off of it, but I’m not a lawyer so I don’t want to risk getting the CSC or Laurel in trouble. I have password protected the directory that has the files, so its a little bit difficult to just find the files.

I have put up the slideshow from 2001 and the spring break from this year. I’m working on 2003 and will be doing 2002 soon. I also have a slideshow from Seatle Spring Break and one from Pensacola Spring Break that I will put up eventually. I hope to get the ones Jason did last year and this year and put them up as well.

You will need QuickTime installed on your computer to view these and you will need to have a fast internet connection. Later I might add lower bandwidth versions, but I doubt it.

Now here is how you access them. Goto http://www.cscutk.org/private/ and for the username enter ****** and for the password enter **********. (caps matter and leave off that period). Remember the 2001 slideshow was the first year we went digital.
