Injections, Drills, and 2×4’s

If I had to pick one word to sum of each day of this past weekend starting with Friday, those would be the words. It all started out at the Christmas party. Many people had heard that they didn’t want to get my gift but most people didn’t know why they didn’t want to get it. For those few people that did know what the gift was, they didn’t know how it was going to be wrapped. I came early enough, so that only David Russell and a few others would have seen what I brought. Thanks to David, some people got the notion that it was in a bag, so I didn’t have to lie to everyone. In fact, I didn’t even wrap it at all. I placed it in a UPS Next Day Air box and sealed it up. The only problem was, I couldn’t find a box big enough for the handle, so I had to keep it seperate. In the box was a “Super Dooper Reindeer Pooper” jellybean dispenser, a toilet plunger, and an enema solution. I’m glad the person that received this wonderful gift actually deserved to get it. I was worried someone like Melody would get it and it would just seem like a mean gift. The lucky recepient of the gift was….

Saturday started out very early. Several of us meet at the CSC to go remove seatbacks from Neyland Stadium. We went from about 8:00-12:00. I have two drills so I brought them, just in case. I’m glad I did. Anyways, while walking down there, I let Nicoll carry one of my smaller drills. My hands were too full to carry everything. So we thought this would be a good chance to test out Mer’s Power Tools theory. Nicoll didn’t really try, so I guess it just goes to show that a guy with a dog will get more attention than a girl with a drill. Of course later that evening was the SEC championship game. Since many of you know where my allegiance was during that game, I won’t have to tell you that I was happy with the results. UT did better this season than anyone thought they would have, so it still turned out good for UT.

Finally, the thing that would sum up Sunday is a 2×4. I won’t say anything more about this until after the 2×4 is presented to someone.
